Every day looks different at Chalkline! It’s one of my favourite aspects of the job. My brain thrives on the variety of tasks and responsibilities, keeping me fully engaged. All in all, my role involves looking after our clients, which means keeping them updated on tech news, licence changes, ensuring compliance, providing technical business solutions and the list goes on! I also frequently get out to meet clients face to face and attend fantastic events, to celebrate the success of businesses that we’re partnered with! (see picture below…).
Service Reviews: Tailored Support for Our Clients
One of the key services we offer our clients is regular service reviews, tailored to their specific needs. These reviews provide an opportunity to discuss how their employees are utilising Chalkline’s support and address any pressing issues. This might include new hardware requirements for business expansion, replacing outdated devices, or meeting new compliance needs. Currently, we’re ensuring our clients are aware of the Windows update, as Windows 10 is going end of life next October. We support our clients through every step of an update like this; from helping adjust budgets for necessary replacements, offering free upgrades for Windows 11-compatible devices, to providing consultative advice on device rearrangement or new acquisitions.
Synergy Within Chalkline
My work at Chalkline is highly collaborative, involving close work with various teams within the company. We have frequent stand-ups with both the service and project teams, to ensure our clients’ needs are accurately represented by us account managers, and addressed. This cross-team approach within Chalkline is what helps our clients feel supported and managed in the best way possible. On a personal note, I enjoy the frequent interactions with other teams, who are all incredibly talented and interesting.
My Journey to Chalkline
I transitioned into this role after working for a tech recruitment company. For me, communicating with clients throughout their business processes has given me a much more holistic view of how businesses are run, and has been fundamental in my personal career development. The training that I have been given at Chalkline has been excellent, including desk training, shadowing, and interactive workshop sessions, which have all contributed to my confidence in client interactions from the start.
