First, let me set the scene. I am a Business Development Associate at Chalkline. My role heavily involves booking meetings with prospects and clients every day of the week - I am forever sending and rescheduling meetings.
Then, my world changed forever – I found FindTime!
Let me explain. FindTime is a very intelligent application that allows you to send a collection of dates and times through to a group of recipients.
As you can see from the screenshots, there are three recipients within the invite. A green person means they are available (using their Outlook calendar data, if available). In this case, there are always 2 out of the 3 recipients free at the selected times.
Once everyone has voted (shown on the screenshot), the organiser will receive an email with a breakdown of who can attend each meeting. Hit the schedule button, which will then automatically send a meeting invite through to the guests.
For me, this has been a life saver. The fact that it sits within Outlook, allowing me to simply reply with a group of dates, is perfect. This also means I no longer need to call each person to ask when suits them and send lists of dates out to everyone. I’m not saying that we should completely ditch the traditional phone call, but this really does make life easier.
